Christopher guides our research, strategy and design teams to develop meaningful brands, services and products. He is passionate about identifying opportunities to generate solutions that meet the real needs of everyday people and advance organizational objectives.
Over the past 25 years, Christopher has held agency and enterprise leadership roles in Los Angeles, Burlington, Vermont, New York City and Miami. He’s led a wide variety of customer experience design and strategic branding engagements for major brands including AT&T, Citibank, Viacom, Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Converse, Specialized Bicycles and Brooks Brothers. In 2000, he was Vice President of Brand Marketing at Sapient, an S&P 500 business and technology consulting firm.
His work has been featured in numerous national and international book and periodical publications including American Center for Design, Brandweek, Architectural Record, ID Magazine, Emigré Magazine and Idea Magazine (Japan).
From 2002 to 2012, Christopher served as the founding chairperson of the Design Thinking Leadership master’s degree program at Indiana University. During his career in higher education, he was appointed as Scholar of Political Engagement at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
Christopher is a frequent public speaker on the topics of service design, customer experience design, people-centered innovation and design thinking. In 2007, he delivered the keynote address at the Design Management Institute’s international conference.
Growing up in Raleigh, North Carolina, Christopher attended North Carolina State University. He completed a master’s degree at California Institute of the Arts, Los Angeles. Christopher is committed to lifelong learning. Activities include continuing executive education studies at Harvard Business School.
