Mark is a designer and front-end developer at Studio Science. He primarily spends his time designing digital product interfaces, interactions, and experiences.
Before joining Studio Science, Mark worked as a product designer at a local nonprofit called People For Urban Progress, and ran a small leather goods business called Jack Heinz.
In June of 2015, Mark began as an intern at Studio Science and joined the team as a full-time employee three months later. During his internship, Mark had the opportunity to work on marketing websites for EFL, Midwest Center for Joint Repair and The Oaks Academy, and software design for Studio Science Lab companies like Octiv.
Mark currently works on the team that is embedded within our partner company, High Alpha. As he grew into his full-time role, he gravitated toward product design and crafting digital interactions and experiences. Now he’s working on product and marketing design for Sigstr, Zylo and ClearScholar.
For someone working in tech, Mark spends an unusual amount of his free time offline—reading, biking around Indianapolis, and hiking. Mark can be found at local events such as Creative Mornings, AIGA studio tours, hackathons, and occasionally guest lecturing on design at The Iron Yard. He enjoys living downtown, and walks to work every day.
Mark graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Entrepreneurship.
